I have quite a few questions about this treatment I am currently on, Differin and Clyndamycn with a Bactrim anti biotic. I was wondering since I've switched from the .1 to .3 will that restartthe breakouts? Or will it just take over and provide more of a strength factor? Will every comedome have to purge? When should I start to see a clear complexion, currently on day 45. Thank you please answer these questions have been bugging me for the last couple weeks.
It may result in more dryness. It usually takes 12 weeks to see 50% of improvement, so you have to be patient. BTW Bactrim is not my favorite acne medicine, but that you have to discuss with your doctor.
Thank you for sharing with us your journey and keep us posted! We will all learn a lot from it.
Best!

Hey there! I am also on Bactrim and used Epiduo as a topical. Epiduo has adepelene in it which is what Differin has, so I thought I would share my experience. My comedones did purge, some even inflamed, but when they did they did not re-occur. One way to help with this process is by getting them extracted by a dermatologist. I personally wish I would have done this, as picking and squeezing is very damaging. The open comedones will probably just shrink and then go away! Also, I don't think your breakout cycle will restart like you asked. If you have already been using it for 45 days then your skin is already some what used to the topical and should just continue to improve!
