My Skin Is Finally Clearing Up Thanks To Vitamin A

So I've been lurking this forum for about a year, trying the various things suggested to clear acne. Face washes, multivitamins, moisturizers, drinking a ton of water, etc. Nothing worked, and the past 2 months, my acne was getting so bad. Every day, I would wake up to 2 or more cystic bumps. I couldn't help but pick at them, like most people. I don't have health insurance and there's no way I could possibly afford to see a dermatologist, let alone afford the medication they would prescribe. I finally came across my last result, taking vitamin a. So I bought a bottle of vitamin a derived from fish oil for $2.86 online. It came in the mail Thursday, and I started taking 3 10k iu pills a day with a giant spoon full of peanut butter for the fat/vitamin e. On Sunday I woke up to no acne! Just scars and scabs that needed to heal. It was the first time in months I haven't woken up to new cystic acne to pick at. This morning (Monday) I woke up to 2 small zits, but nothing that will last more than a day after popping them. During this period, I've been washing with my regular 2% acylic acid face wash 3 times a day and letting my face dry out (idk if that was a good idea or a bad idea). I will update you when my scars heal a bit. Maybe on Thursday when it's been a full week if anyone is interested. I'm gonna upload a gross picture of my acne on Thursday when I started and on Sunday when I noticed a change, so don't look if you don't want to. I would recommend this to anyone, and I just want to say a big thank you for everyone who posted about vitamin a helping them. I probably read every single post. :)

I would definitely wait upwards of 3 months before getting excited. That will give you enough time to see if this regimen is sustainable.

Good Luck!
