I believe the cause of my acne this whole time could be lack of water intake. I have been previously drinking roughly 4-5 bottles a day of water. Personally I viewed this as a lot of water. However I have been researching, and some acne suffers state that they cured their acne by increasing their water consumption.

I have normal deep cystic acne.

So far I have been drinking 8-10 bottles of water per day for the past 4 days and my skin is already clearing up.

Additionally, I tested it by eating Chinese food Friday, Saturday and Sunday. No new breakouts since Friday. My face has been recovering from previous breakout, so I'm now dealing with scars and healing.

My method Consist of two factors: (1) increase water consumption to 8 bottles a day at the least! (2) wash face with water only.

I previously was on no wash regimen before I started this and helped to a degree but the oilyness never subsided and breakouts continued. I now wash with water only in the morning and before bed. Splash water on my face and then pat my face dry.

I will update this log as well.

Has anyone else had experience with water only/ increasing water consumption?

Awesome you found your clear-skin solution!! :) Water is one of the best things you can put in your body and adding more water to your diet can never hurt! Warm water and Dan's moisturizer have been my skin-care products for years now. Cleansers tend to dry out my skin and make me oilier so I avoid. My face gets plenty clean in shower without excessive drying. Finding the right cleanser to suit your skin (whether it's a product or just water) is certainly important!

last year, I was experiencing acne all over my forehead and abit on my cheek.

I kept purchasing products convincing myself it would speed up my progress, but as soon as I stopped using acne products, the acne floaded back onto my face and looked even more awful.
My friend was willing to help me out and recommended me to drink 8-10 glasses of water daily, which I did.

1 week after drinking 8 glasses my skin felt already softer and the acne was reduced in size.

After 2 weeks most of the acne were gone and improved my acne by alot. All my acne was reduced in size and none of these acne has returned.
Today i'm acne free thanks to the water solution. :)

Due to frustration in my teen years with acne I gave up using facial cleanse products and strictly only rinsed my face with water in the shower twice a day. It was the only solution for me. Didn't intake a ton of water but it wouldn't have hurt. Never sat and thought about trying it again until now since my acne is coming back. My skin is always oily and has always been sensitive.

Atleast with mine I have found no connection with water consumtion and my acne. Only thing i got was the urge to pee every 20 minutes which sucks while you are at work for 9 hours

You said it was due to NoFap before.

Yep, until no fap stopped working. However I still cut down my masturbation dramatically. The same how I thought diet worked, until diet did not work; I still eat cleaner food.

Acne is a journey honestly, my lifestyle has completely changed for the better because of it. And to think in the end, it all came down the basic of life; water lol.

Like I said I'll keep this post updated.

Day 6 of WATER:

Face has been clear since Saturday.

No new breakouts

Old scars have completely healed.

Still drinking 8-10 bottles per day.

I wash my face with WATER ONLY twice a day and pat dry: (1) after the gym (2) before bed.

I will test food next Monday since it's a party this weekend and I'm not trying to take that risk lol

I 100% agree, I stopped using cleanser about 6 weeks ago. I never noticed how much damage they did to my skin and acid mantle. Splash of water works great for me.

Thanks for your input!

Id say give it a try, 8 bottles or 8 bottles worth of water is not as much as it seems.

For example, The small styrofoam cups used with the 5 gallon water dispensers, those cups are 8 fl oz. refill that twice and that's 1 bottle down.

I feel your pain, peeing more frequently does blow. Especially at work. Hope you find something that works for you.
