Hey ari how is your ACV Program going? I stopped using acv as a cleanser because it dried up my skin.
I guess I am going to try taking it internally instead.
I started using ACV as toner this morning. I'll try for at least 1 month and see if it works.
Also, I've been drinking 1 tbsp of ACV with a glass of water almost every morning.
I think ACV can work well topically if your acne is caused by pH imbalance in your skin (from using harsh foaming cleansers.)
What does the rest of your skincare regimen consist of?
However, I have been drinking a table spoon of ACV in a glass of water, twice a day for about a year and I can really recommend it. It's amazing for your digestion and overall health!
I apply honey during the night and wash it off using baking soda, doing ot for anout a week now.
Does drinking acv cured your acne? How much do you take jlopez?

About 2 years ago, the first time I started taking ACV twice a day before breakfast and dinner, yes it cured my acne.
Unfortunately I started messing about with cleansers and my acne came back. In a panic I started using Differin which absolutely ruined my skin. It has taken me years to get it under control!
I believe the reason that ACV cured my acne the first time around was because I suffer from low stomach acid, which can lead to poor digestion, poor absorption of nutrients and therefore acne.
Unfortunately ACV alone wasn't enough to clear my acne, but I am finding that quitting gluten, dairy and lowering my sugar intake is clearing me up. But I still drink the ACV because it has fantastic health benefits and gives me a great boost of energy!
is it bad to use Acv when you use other topicals?
Could you specify what topicals?
ACV is a very mild chemical exfoliant when used as a toner so it could be potentially irritating to use alongside retinoids.
However I used ACV as a toner alongside benzoyl peroxide for years and it was absolutely fine for me. I actually found it to be quite soothing.
It's always worth doing a patch test before you treat your whole face though!
I was using retin-a.. I have been off of it for a month, but in the past my face remained REALLY sensitive long after getting off of it.. I am scared the vineager would burn my face. I also use zinc pyrithione 2% soap.. no idea if that would mix bad with it
To be honest, I don't know that zinc soap is the best thing for acne prone skin as it is so harsh. But if it's working okay for you, great!
I don't think combining the soap with ACV toner would be a problem, as long as your skin isn't irritated by the zinc soap. (If it is please stop using it!)
If you are interested in having a go with ACV I recommend getting the proper, organic, raw stuff. You can buy Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar on amazon fairly cheap. Then I would mix a toner with about 25% ACV and 75% water and patch test that on an area of your skin you aren't too worried about a reaction. (I always patch test on my forehead since I have long bangs.)
Keep patch testing for a week and if you see no negative side effects then proceed with the full application!
You can up the amount of ACV in your mixture to 50% as your skin adjusts too
ps. If you end up not liking the vinegar for your skin you can drink a table spoon twice a day with water/apple juice and it's packed full of nutrients so it won't go to waste!

Hi! Just an update:
Using ACV as toner helps to dry up my acne.
I haven't been consistent with drinking 1tbsp of ACV every morning though but I always incorporate it in my juice. So far I haven't noticed much difference to my skin but I'll keep updating!
I had a huge zit on my cheekbone and a few other bumps around my chin area a couple of weeks ago. Not sure what actually caused my face to breakout.
But I've been using ACV for almost a month now and right now only have a 1 or 2 zits (not huge) on my face.
I'm not really sure if it's because of ACV or the fact that I've been juicing almost daily and eating clean.
Maybe the huge zits were part of the purging phase or maybe due to hormones or a reaction to some food I had over a period of time before I started juicing and eating clean.
I'm also using ACV as toner day and night. Then spot treatment and a hydrating moisturizer. That's all.
I think keeping your skin care regime as simple as possible does good to your skin.
I'll update again next month!
I use ACV as a toner both in the morning and at night. I started this five days ago along with washing with honey in the morning instead of my harsh acne cleanser (which I still use at night because it works well and takes off my makeup). So far I think it has been going good. My skin hasn't been dried out at all.
I apply a layer of ACV to my skin using a cotton all after I have cleaned my skin. The solution I use is two tablespoons of water and one of ACV, I then put it in a plastic bottle. It smells bad at first but after it dries it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight like other toners have. I have also noticed since I started this routine that my face has gotten less greasy. I have only developed two blemishes since then and they only lasted three days. That's good considering what time of month it is for me.
I recommend it I think it has helped me out a lot. I have never ingested it so I'm not sure how that would work. Good luck!!
