I have had mild to severe acne since my early teen years I am now 24. I have tried just about every over the counter treatment, including prescription antibiotics and topical treatments from dermatologists with no success. Within the past few months I have decided to do some research and found that by washing just once a day with a very gentle cleanser along with quitting dairy products has made a good improvement, my skin went from being very oily to not oily at all within just a few days of this. Now after doing this for about three months I still had acne but no oil on my skin at all and my acne was healing much faster. Recently in the past two weeks I decided to just stop using any soap what so ever and just washing with water and wearing no make up, which has not been easy for me. But it has is definitely been worth it because now my acne is clearing up for the first time ever. I am starting to think that soap and other products may actually cause acne since they are so unnatural and affect your skins good bacteria and natural ph. I was wondering if anyone else has tried this routine with any success?
