I think I finally found something to help my skin!
My acne is hormonal, adult, mainly concentrated around the jawline, temples and sometimes cheeks. I would classify it as minor to moderate. My skin tends towards dry. I was on benzaclin for a few years which kept me clear, and then just stopped working. I was on hormonal birth control for many years starting as a teenager, which I think has been a contributor to my minor health issues with yeast, hormonal acne and melasma. I tried Retin-A last year for about 6 months and it made my breakouts worse than ever. I have some scarring left over from that terrible experiment.
Anyways, here's what's been working for me.
Estroblock Triple strength (1 or 2 a day)
Calcium D-Glucarate (1000-2000mg daily)
Organic Herbal Face Food, (evening and morning)
African Black soap (evening)
Olay pro x brush cleaner thing
I also try to eat fairly clean, organic, mostly vegetarian, limited dairy/gluten/sugar/carbs/coffee and NO SOY. I'm pretty sure soy was causing breakouts, or causing hormonal fluctuations that caused breakouts.
The combination of estroblock and calcium d-glucarate is a powerhouse, I tried estroblock alone and it didn't work.
And the herbal face food is just amazing, it tingles and is all full of potent antioxidants.
I use the african black soap on and off, but I just started using it regularly with the olay pro x which makes my skin feel incredibly smooth.
My skin isn't completely perfect, but it is SO much better than it used to be, I feel mostly comfortable without makeup and don't agonize and obsess in the mirror like I used to.
Hope this helps someone
