This is my first post to the forum so not sure if it's in the right section.
Long story short I was put on Roaccutane in my mid teens for some fairly severe acne. A few years prior to this I was diagnosed with CFS. On roaccutane I got all the usual instant side effects like photosensitivity, dry skin, lips, and eyes. But it's only years later Now about 11 or so that things seemed to have gotten progressively worse over the years to include hormonal issues, depression, fibromyalgia, sexual dysfunction, autoimmune disease symptoms (despite bloodwork showing no issues). I was put on SSRI's and SNRI's which seemed to temporarily relieve some of the depression, but ended up making things worse. I am now on TRT which has helped a little, but there still feels like there is something really wrong with me.
I have read quite a few cases of people having success with LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone) to treat the plethora of long-term damage caused by Roaccutane and also CFS and Fibromyalgia. The issue I am faced with is that I am in Australia and Naltrexone is a controlled substance and thus cannot be imported and I am having a hard time finding a doctor whom is willing to perscribe it for my needs. I am trying to educate my doctor, but am finding it very hard to find any scientific or medical studies that I can use to persuade him.
What I'm really hoping is that there are some members of this forum whom have
a) experience using LDN and can give me some anecdotal evidence
b) can point me in the direction of some medical/scientific studies that support the use of LDN for Roaccutane damage/CFS/Fibromyalgia
c) are themselves from Australia and have managed to find a doctor willing to perscribe LDN and how they went about getting it perscribed.

Im in the same boat. How are things for you now?
I can't point you to any studies, but I told my doctor that I would start shooting heroin and return the next day in order to get a script for full strength Naltrexone (I wanted to make my own LDN by dissolving it in water and dosing myself with that rather than paying a compounding pharmacy every month for a capsule version. Check-mate, doctor. I got the script (without shooting any heroin ;). I can't point to any studies with Accutane in particular, but it has helped enormously with mental and physical recovery! Another thing that helps "big time" is macuna dopa. Look it up. https://johndnicoll.com/healing-protocol-for-accutane-recovery-part-iii-mental-emotional-stability/
