Hi all I thought i would post here to tell of my experiences and personal treatments.

 

When I was in school all I heard from the doctor was "it doesn't matter what you eat, it's hormonal and genetic!" and I stuck to whetever pills or creams they gave me which didn't work one jot.

 

Since then I completely revamped my diet and I very, very rarely get a single spot now. Years of trial and error led me to the discovery that it WAS my diet that was causing my acne. That and very tight pores too.

 

My diet now consist of almost nothing but whole foods and it's only when I go back to eating crap (what some would call normal) that any sort of spots appear. Alcohol also triggers acne in me too but in moderation it's ok.

 

I have been on a very strict diet for the last 3 months to lose weight (20lb so far in pure body fat) and for two of those I did not drink and my skin was absolutely glorious. It appeared to plump up and even my pock marks didn't seem quite so bad.

 

My only regret is that I didn't know this when I was 11 or else I would have been strict with my food back then and all this could have been avoided.

I also exfoliate with sugar and lemon juice once a week and moisturise once a day after my shower and I use bio-oil on my face the night before any sort of night out as it seems to even out the colour of my skin nicely.

 

Of course all this doesn't do anything for my actual pock marks or scarring which is the most frustrating thing in the world. Even the hardest rock can be smoothed down if ground for long enough but human skin just never seems to fix itself when it comes to dents and pits.

 

One can only hope for a solution soon.
