Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with cortisone shots causing a white spot surrounding the pimple that was injected?

I don't remember this happening and I got a few treated before. Hoping it goes away and is temporary. I just had it down a few hours ago.

Thanks,

Kim

I've had a LOT of these shots, a LOT....give it a couple of days to normalize. I'm sure it's just temporary. Keep us posted.

Did a kenalog shot before, a form of cortisone. No whitening. Although I did use hydrocortisone topically and sometimes causes a whitening around the spot, especially if it's on a higher part of the cheek which is more sensitive I guess.

Similarly, I got two steroid injections in my forehead for supraorbital neuralgia. Both injections left white patches AND indents. My doctor did say that most heal over the next few months, and that was true for me. Give it about three months and the white spot should go away.
