Hello,

I'm a brand new member but have been looking for my cure on acne.org for years now. I'm a 33 year old female and have finally found my SIMPLE treatment that works. My story is like everyone else's; been struggling with acne for 15+ years and have tried everything.from the usual drugstore/ infomercial products to prescriptions to the strange and unusual suggestions posted here.

So to the point of the story, retinol seems to be doing it for me. I've been looking into retinols for awhile now since I'm getting older and dealing with fine lines as well as acne. I have tried a few different brands of retinol including neutrogena rapid wrinle repair and RoC Retinol Correxion. At one point years ago I did try Retin A but it was way to harsh and I gave up. But I find retinol is effective without the irratation.

So my current regimen that I have been on for about 2 months now is:

Babywash (I use a generic brand from waslgreens, for some reason Johnson & Johnson seems to leave a wierd film on my skin)

Perlabella Retinol Face- this is a Walgreens product, I began using it b/c of reviews online and I like it better that any other brand I've tired.

I use this regimen morning and night, but I should note that you are NOT supoposed to use retinol during the day time. I'm enjoying my skin so much now that I don't want to give it up during the day for fear that acne will begin forming. Maybe in a week or so I'll try cutting it back to retinol at night only and keep my fingers crossed that I will stay clear.

Anyway just thought I'd share, hopefully it helps someone.

I am a mother of 2 and have changed all the products I use on my daughters because of harsh ingredients. Please check the ingredient list on your product and compare to this article. The one thing we are all trying to achieve is beautiful skin, I hope this helps you to stay on that path to keeping your skin pretty! READ INGREDIENTS ON ALL YOUR PRODUCTS and research the ingredient if it is unfamiliar. Be cautious to not fall into the trap of believing that the word 'baby' in the name of a product is indicative of how gentle it will be on your skin, even if that product seems to act in such a manner.
