Hi friends,
I'm new here. I'm a 25 y/o female who has had mild acne since age 12. A year and a half ago, I started getting acne in the sides of my cheeks and chin (think 5-10 cystic pimples at a time, not the worst case ever but I still felt devastated). I'm under the care of a dermatologist, and aisde from a recent hiccup when changing my spiro dosage, I have seen great improvement with almost no new breakouts. However, I still have red marks ("ghost acne", as I like to call it!) and large pores on my nose. I'm also starting to notice tiny blackheads in the skin on the sides of my nose.
I've heard really great things about the clarisonic mia. Has anyone here tried it and liked it? I've read that the type of brush head you select is really important; if you use a brush head that is too abrasive, you may break out.
I just purchased the Mia 2 with extra "acne" brush heads and am excited to see what happens. If not, heck, it has a money back guarantee!
Thank you
Regimen:
AM:
50 mg spiro
lo-loestrin fe (birth control)
Sumaden wash
Aczone (pea-sized amount spread out in dots, then patted/rubbed together to cover my whole face)
Aveeno lotion (my derm doesn't like Aveeno but I still use it)
Acne has cleared enough that I usually do not wear foundation or cover up but I would *like* to wear make-up again.
PM:
Eminence organic acne wash
Ziana (applied in same manner as Aczone above)
Aveeno
