Hello everyone, there are various cosmetic products that say "adjuvant". But what exactly does that mean? that I can use that product over another product? For example, use a tretinoin-based product and add a slow, hydrating adjuvant product on top of it?
I hope someone can answer me. Thank you in advance.
Yeah, in skincare "adjuvant" usually means something that mitigates side effects of another skincare product or medication. Or something that helps a skincare product or medication work better.
Most likely when it comes to tretinoin they're talking about using a moisturizer with tretinoin so it absorbs better and you have less dryness from it. That's my guess. But for sure ask your doc or whoever gave you the tretinoin what they want you to do.

Thanks for your reply, actually the tretinoin was just an example. So do you think it can also be applied on top of the main treatment? my main doubt was precisely this; or whether to use, in certain cases, two cosmetic products together, one on top of the other.
