Hello everyone. I've seen twodoctors for my acne this week. The first one prescribed oral and topical antibiotics. He just looked at my face and even didn't listen what i told him about my acne. The second one was no better. But this time he made me to have my blood tested first and then prescribed accutane. Now I'm wondering what should I do. I've read on this site and some other articles which do not recommend treating acne with antibiotics. On the other hand, for a person who have never tried acne treatments before, I think accutane is overkill. I really don't know what should i do and feel disappointed. It seems like no doctor actually cares about. Please, can anyone give me some suggestions.
P.S.
My acne started nearly 7 years age when I was 14 years old. And the strange thing is, back then i didn't have it on my face. It was only between my hairs on my head. And then gradually it started appearing on my face, mostly on my beard area. Now because of I need to wear a mask outside, It's spreading even more. Is it normal to have it on your head between hairs? Is it even acne? Has anyone had a similar situation?
A lot of people suffer from acne because of their diet. This is caused by food sensitivities and allergies. It doesn't mean you have a bad diet, it just means that there is something in your diet that your body is reacting to.
There are a lot of people who heal their life long acne with diet change, and have posted their remarkable success stories here on acne.org.
I have gathered several examples together (scroll to the bottom):
