I had the 70% TCA cross procedure done at my dermatologist, the day after my scars look deeper, is this normal? What is your aftercare?

80% Cross seemed to widen some of my scars but it also helped collagen stimulation in other scars so its kinda weird. My mom noticed my skin smoother where I was just fixed on the larger or wider other scars. Would I do TCA again? Not for my type of scars. My dermatologist is a proponent of TCA cross and there is literature out there that backs it up. I have mixed feelings I guess. But give it time. Takes about 6 months or so. Take pictures every other week or so so you can track your progress and collect them in a file so you can compare. You will surprise yourself when you go back and review them. Can't give you a more detailed before and after cause I did a series of subcision treatments that had a dramatic impact on my scarring. Aftercare:I know keeping out of the sun is importantbut using a good sunscreen if you have to be out (and reapplying it which i always forget to do) helps. Drink your water and exercising even if it wasjust walking helped me out too. Plus Vitamin C, Probiotics, and zinc is what I did-- I buy brands with the USP seal. I abstained from alcohol and anything that would dehydrate me. Everyone is different but this seemed to work well with me.
