Hey Everyone!

One night a friend of mine was talking about acne treatments, scarring, and the whole nine yards and for some reason it led to me trying to find my acne.org profile to see if I could find any pictures with my acne and how it was 7 years ago ish compared to today. I remember growing up I always wanted to see how someone's Acne/scars looked years down the road and I could never find something like that so I am hoping this post can provide some insight and some encouragement for the readers.

First of all, in my opinion time heals everything. Allow time to run its course and things will get better.

A little background:

In my Grade 9 year of high school I started to get horrible acne that I kind of dismissed because it didn't really bother me until it started to get to the point where people started to make fun of it, and that threw my confidence out of the window. I did basically everything I could to get rid of it. My first round of treatments was through antibiotics which in my opinion didn't really do a whole lot for myself. I do vividly remember stumbling upon "The Regimen" that I swear by, and to this day if someone asks me how I got rid of my acne this is the product that I will always recommend. From there, with the acne that got cleaned up I was left with red marks and scarring that would not go away so I bought a microdermabrasion kit from Amazon for about $60 (I apologize but I do not remember what it was). I (think) used a Vitamin A oil (I apologize if it was something else) that I used after I used my microdermabrasion kit to put on top of the redness and helped it heal. I also swear that this was the icing on top of the cake for getting rid of red marks and scarring. I used Retin-A cream as well that seemed to have worked but it made my skin so dry I had to stop using it.

Today, as you can see in the pictures the scars are still there but they have faded considerably (or at least the illusion of them fading with the redness being gone) but I can gladly say they no longer bother me and I don't look in the mirror to see them anymore. Having a beard also covers up the scars a bit and I refuse to clean shave :). I made some lifestyle changes in this period as well that I think helped my situation. One thing I have cut out is milk products mainly. I still do have cheese every now and then, but I typically break out when I have milk so I stick to lactose free milk/almond milk. I have attached a few pictures below to show the difference of about 7 years, and I will try to answer any questions that someone may have. There are no dumb questions.
