Looks like some minor scarring plus hyperpigmentation from what I can tell.

Accutane is for acne treatment, not scar treatment, as you mentioned. It changes your skin and body for the rest of your life and should be reserved only for severe acne, so I think Accutane is off base in this case.

Laser treatment (probably fraxel) could be interesting because it can treat scarring and also hyperpigmentation. What's most important is you get under the care of an experience and trustworthy acne scar specialist. Read the scars page and get up to speed on options and then the next step would be to find a good practitioner.

Previous scarring is not improved with Isotretinoin (brand name is Accutane) (brand name is Accutane). Acne frequently worsens in the third or fourth week of treatment and lasts for several days. This medication is usually prescribed for patients with moderate to severe acne who don't respond to any other kind of medicine, and for patients who have acne and a tendency to develop acne scars. Accutane / Roaccutane is very effective in preventing extensive scarring.
