Not sure what the deal is but I've had this random cluster of acne on the right side of my face for about the last 15 months. I can't attribute it to anything specific that I might have done to cause it. I've been using the same face wash and shaving cream for the last eight years, and I don't put anything else on my face. I'm 35 years old and have never had an acne problem except back in middle school when I was a teenager, so this definitely comes as a mystery to me. I figured I would check online first before I go attempt to go see a dermatologist. Too many sketchy doctors out there these days so that's definitely a last resort.
Here are a couple pics from right after getting out of the shower which is when it's most noticeable. It slowly fades throughout the day. It's still there by night time but it's not nearly as noticeable as when I get out of the shower.
Rosacea? I wasn't expecting that. After doing some research on the subject, it seems like most cases of people with rosacea have more severe issues than what I'm experiencing. I'm not saying that what I have is not rosacea, but would just like to rule out any other possibilities. Are there cases of rosacea with such a small amount of symptoms as mine?
does it itch?
im not a doctor but if you are 35, have not suffered from acne since your a teenager and its not changed for 15months. could this problem be a type of rash? - do a google search.
there is different types of skin rashes. from what i understand, most can not be treated with spot treatments.
-if it is a rash, you could always have a chat with a chemist, they might be able to recommend a cream or wash(?)
It doesn't itch, burn, or anything like that. Aside from it being visible, I'd have no idea it's there. I'm honestly not the type of person who ever has any kind of medical issues, so I just wrote it off as being something temporary and would probably go away on it's own. But like I said, it's been sticking around for about 15 months now so I'm thinking it's not just going to go away without a little help.
It wouldn't hurt to see a Dr. Depending on how much it bothers you. But, as far as OTC stuff goes. It's alot of trial and error. For me I've had better luck leaning more towards mild and natural. Phat 5.5 cleanser, good moisturizer, and rosewater.
/\ i agree, maybe a doctor can issue you a cream to clear it up.
some people see good results using a mild anti-fungal wash when treating fungal rashes. ive read head & shoulders works(?)
