ok im freaking out. so earlier today my pimple popped on its own and i have no idea how it popped but now ive been left with this mess! ive applied benzoyl peroxide and went to sleep but i woke up to this! it looks like harderned/dried pus but i really dont know. how do i get rid of this?? should i apply neosporin? what should i apply??? please help
It could be just dried puss that oozed out over night, or it could be an infection (which can happen if pimples are popped). I would just gently rinse it and not use BP on it - it will just make it hurt more and more inflamed. If you have a topical antibiotic ointment, I would just put a small amount on the popped pimple only. It should start to heal up in a day or two (but most likely leave a mark for several days). See a doctor if it get's worse though.
