I'm a 17 year old boy who has been suffering from acne for about 2 years. It looked like it did in the photos after about a year, and then it settled down and started looking okay for about 4 months, but for the whole of 2017 it has turned severe. I have no idea why it started getting bad again, and that is why I am reaching out for help. I was on medication from a dermatologist but I never got around to going back but I plan to in the next few weeks so that will reduce the redness and stuff a little bit. My diet isn't completely bad, I eat like 2-3 fruits a day, drink plenty of water, try to minimise junk food intake but still have quite a bit. I wash my face every morning and night and moisturise every few days but active pimples and marks keep popping up every single day, which then obviously leads to scarring. I have read that a dermaroller can be useful but all in all I need some tips and maybe a diet plan indication because I can't even leave my house it's that disgusting. Thanks in advance
i cant tell you what type of acne you have (diet, hormonal, fungul etc) but that redness is probably because of using harsh acne products and or soaps, including those which contain SLS.
do some research but i recommend the caveman regimen -

Have you tried benzoyl peroxide or any form of the regimen?
You should probably be moisturizing each time after you wash your face as well. When you wash your face, you strip it of its natural oils and cause irritation. Your body responds to this by producing more oil to make up for the amount lost- hence creating more acne. Moisturizing after each wash will restore that balance so your body doesn't overproduce oil.
