Hello. :)

I recently posted as after two years of relatively clear skin following the mild/moderate acne I had aged 13-15, my spots returned. However, they were a very different kind. Much smaller, like lumps, not deep, painful spots like I used to get. And they were just on my cheeks, forehead and chin.

I was SO upset as I had changed nothing in my routine. I was convinced it was hormonal. However, after talking to my friend who is a makeup consultant, it turns out the ingredients in my foundations were changed. The new formula is apparently much heavier. I am pretty certain is why I suddenly had a massive breakout and why my spots didn't go away...

looking at it now, it seems kind of obvious, I also had blocked pores and the more foundation I used, the worse the spots got.

I wanted to share my photos:
FOUR days ago: IMG_3477.PNG

and this evening:  (When face is still red from exfoliating- no spots, just red marks which are already fading.)

IMG_3476.PNGSo that's it... my £40 foundation appears to be the culprit of a months worrying that my acne was getting much worse.

I just can't believe I didn't realise.

You're probably right about it being the foundation, I used a foundation that broke me out only on my cheeks and they were big painful bumps. I would use the foundation, wash it off, and then the next day I'd be broken out. So glad you found out what it was!!
