I workout for anywhere from 2-5 hours daily, but around noon. What should I do to keep my skin clean? I want to try washing my face at 8 in the morning and 8 at night. should I still was my face after workingout and just apply moisturizer? I've had acne since I can remeber and would love for this to work, I just dont know what I should do when regarding sweat from workouts because I do not want to leave the sweat on my face until 8pm!!

I also work out a lot and I wash my face with water only. I am keeping it as natural as possible and I don't use any products on my face.

Agreed! I was going to say, just splash some water on your face--forego the moisturizer. 'Moisturizers" are mostly silicone-based, or oil-based. Most contain several comedogenic ingredients. They don't technically add moisture, but seal it in under a film (along with everything else). This can be a double edged sword. Only apply to clean skin, after your pores have had time to cool and close...and less is more.
I have a light gel moisturizer that I use in the morning, to create a thin barrier under my makeup. I have heavier on hand, in case I'm feeling dry...but I use this sparingly here and there and adjust my cleansing routine to be less drying. The less moisturizer your skin "needs" the better off you will be.

If I decided to change my workout routine to the morning do you think it'd be better for me to just rinse my face before the gym and wash it completely after my wokout or vice versa? Btw thanks for the reply!

Well this might be a little bit extreme but I don't wash my face in the morning at all.

You could say I am following the water only regimen because I am not touching my face at all. I simply let the shower water wash my face without handling the skin or using any tools, soaps, etc. I never had severe acne but this regimen works the best for my skin.

As for your case. Try not to touch your skin until you have finished your workout and then just wash it like you always do.

Currently I have an active whitehead on my forehead which should heal in a day or two so that is not a big deal. Another pimple just above my eyebrow that probably won't heal in the next week. A tiny whitehead on my nose (I am giving 2 to 3 days to this one). I also have about 3 to 5 red marks. How would you rate that yourself?

From my subjective point of view I would say 4/10 considering I am 29 years old. Washing my face regulary or applying products on my face would raise the rating to at least 6.

I workout in the mornings, or at night...I don't bother beforehand. I shower and wash my face thoroughly (usual washing routine) immediately after working out.
