Hi everyone,

I'm currently having the worst breakout of my life and I'm wondering if anyone could help me explain why??

I came off Yasmin about ten months ago after being on it for seven years (doctor suspected I had cervical erosion caused by the pill). While on the pill my skin was basically perfect and before the pill, i would have the occasional spot but nothing major. A couple of months after stopping Yasmin, I started getting spots again. At first it was one here and there but in the past month it's got REALLY bad and I don't get why!

I have constant cystic acne on my chin. It's like my chin is bubbling in slow motion. Nothing else on the rest of my face, just my chin. Two weeks ago I started using Cetaphil cleanser and Juice Beauty blemish serum each day but it seems to have made the breakout worse! I currently have five active cysts on my chin which I am not able to cover with makeup.

Has anyone else experienced this so long after stopping the pill? How long do I have to wait before my hormones balance out, or is this my "normal" skin that was being masked by the pill? I didn't think I would experience acne this bad so many months after coming off the pill.

It's massively affecting my self-esteem so any words of advice/encouragement would be amazing!

Cheers xx

Hey this happened to me when I switched from the pill to the Iud mirena. Terrified to post these pictures but i was so hopeless and now I want to help.

Was having such bad cystic acne breakouts on my chin that I wouldn't leave the house and now have terrible scars. Would cry and not know why my skin hated me. My skin has turned significantly since i started taking Spironlacone everyday 100MG. It takes about 5 weeks to see a big improvement but is definitely worth the wait!! I also switched my face wash to organic! eminence probiotic face wash and started using eminence toner and PCA clear skin moisturizer. What I think really helped was going on spironlactone.
I maybe get one or two cysts a month rather than one or two a day! When I get a cyst I put Renee Rouleau Anti Cyst Treatment on and it calms her down. I'm really happy with the results. Changing birth control can really change your skin so it does take a little time I adjust. I also bought a juicer and have been drinking juices everyday. Apple, spinach, ginger, carrot, cucumber

Changes:
Spironlactone 100mg
Eminence Clear skin probiotic cleanser
Eminence Stone crop hydrating mist Toner
PCA Clearskin
Renee Rouleau Anti Cyst Treatment
Juicing veggies

First two pictures are from mid January. When I started spironlactone. So hard to post :(

bottom two are from today. (April) No makeup. Some scarring but so much better !!!

Well done for posting! I just want to say that my skin was like your first pic too. Brave of you to post but thank you for doing so.
