So I'm 17 and my face is covered it bumps that I assume is acne. I just can't get rid of it. It can get quite servere and I get really self conscious. I get a few red pimples with heads as well. My face is also covered in blackheads especially my nose. I use a toner and some acne treatments like benzoyl peroxide but the don't do anything. I wash my face twice a day with qv wash and have tried different makeup because someone suggested it was acne cosmetica. I've even tried no make up and still no chance. I excersise everyday and have a set routine. I don't have much dairy or sweets either. Can anyone give me any ideas on what this is and how to clear it up?
Alright, first of all when did you notice these bumps most like closed comedones. As for makeup I heard mineral products have a tendency to clog pores. Is your cleanser non comedogenic check the back and see the ingridients then go to google type acne.org comedogenic list and look through and check. Somethings like ceteryl alcohol is usually in all products so it fine. Everything has to be fragrance free dye free. Is the toner alochol free if its not dump it I suggest natural such as rose water pure rose water no other ingridients added.next what does the texture of your face feel like is it smooth but just bumpy or is it rough?
When you finish exercising do you shower right after wipe your sweat off? Perhaps changing pillow cases everyday can prevent clogging if you sleep on your sides. Next dont go and buy products and keep buying more if its not working I suggest going to a derm itll save you money. But to me it seems to me you have closed comedones. It usually is treated by BHA but if your skin is dry it tends to make it drier. Next how often do you exfoliate?
Are the bumps everywhere or at a certain spot such as if you have bangs etc. Do you let shampoo residue slide on your face instead of tilting your head back? Do you touch your face I suggest not picking touching as it can spread bacteria. Try to remember when your face was clear and what it was you changed that caused this. If you go to a derm im sure he would prescribe you tretinoin or retin a if he does remember to ask him for gel form as cream clogs pores. This is if he reccomends this if he prescribes you other things try that.
These bumps are flesh colored and can only be seen by light I presume? Or are they like pimples?
If your face really is just having closed comedones I hear Paulas choice BHA 2% liquid is good for that. But dont listen to a stranger I highly reccomend going to a professional. Best of luck.
If you have dry skin it can be due to weather is it cold how does your face feel tight after washing or oiky or dehydrated which means your oily but your face feels dry. If it is dehyerated it contributes to dead skin build up which then causes closed comedones or clogged pores.
Remember buy produvts that are meant for your skin type. Using wrong products can contribute to such breakouts. Know your skin type and buy for it if your oily skin buy oil free non comedogenic products if your dry for dry. It usually has it labelled on the product. Double check the ingridients as companies can put non comedogenic like its nothing.
Secondly dont stress im currently in your situation but I could say its worse i have flesh like bumps all over dead skin build up and the stress might have caused me pimples on my jaw area which ive never had before. That or using scrubs irritated my skin.
