Basically just wandering what the easiest/quickest ways to stop this acne are? It's gotten particularly bad recently, right now I have two spots near my mouth, one to the right of my nose, a painful, hard lump under my eyebrow and one on my forehead, I've also got two on the side of my neck.

It seems to mixture of typical red acne spots and hard lumps, sometimes painful sometimes not. I've also hadbacne in the past which has gone a bit but is still present.

I can't seem to find a consensus online, should I be washing more, washing less but using a particular type of facial wash? I don't know what to do.

Follow Dans Regimen (wash twice a day, apply benzoyl peroxide twice a day and moisturize twice a day)and use his products if its moderate acne. You will be clear in about a month. I had deep pimples as well, and they would come and go in about 2 weeks. Every day I had 2 or 3 new ones though. Some were deep and others were more towards the surface.Either way they were extremely debilitating in my daily life.Ive used tons of products and nothing worked. I took minocycline pills and that didn't work either.

I've notice I get huge nasty break outs when my diet mostly consist of processed foods. I stopped those pimples by eating whole food like vegetables and fruits. Staying away from dairy and heavily processed foods really does help you avoid horrible breakouts.

Sorry you are dealing with this. How is it now? I recommend using a cleanser with 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, if you cant get that then any cleanser will do. You should cleanse, or wash your face twice a day in order to remove excess sebum, sweat, dead skin cells, and impurities from the skin. Before bed apply a substantial amount of 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cream to your face(an index finger's length).

I highly recommend watching the videos on this website on how to wash your face and apply benzoyl peroxide cream properly; its pretty helpful. The most important point I found was to not scrub your face very harshly when washing it. And build up your tolerance to the benzoyl peroxide cream to avoid getting super dry, irritated skin.

I know how hard it is to deal with acne , so you are not alone. Lets try to not let it consume our lives. I also recommend seeing a dermatologist if you can, professional help is the way to go when it comes to bad acne.

"wash your face twice a day", that's what iv been told ever since I got acne. So I looked up the reasons for why it's good to wash your face if you have acne and I put those in my response.I don't think dirty skin is the cause of acne. I was just trying to give practicalhelp.
