I just consulted a dermatologist for the first time, I've been using a 1% clindamycin GEL i got over the counter for about 1 week, my doctor just prescribed me 1.2% clindamycin LOTION. Can i apply both gel and lotion? Because I also need to apply rosacea meds, would it be too many products if i apply moisturiser, clindamycin gel and lotion and rosacea cream?
I'd hazard to say there's not much difference between your 1% OTC and 1.2% prescribed clindamycin products so would suggest just using one of those at a time and make it last longer. As for your rosacea cream and moisturiser I would defer to whatever the derm suggested with regard to concomitant useof the products. Hope that helps.
