IS ZINC SAFE FOR TEENS?!?!

I've read on multiple sites that Zinc is extremely beneficial for the skin and especially acne. I've got mild acne and was wonder whether zinc would help me. Is zinc safe to take as a 16-year-old kid? If so, how many mg of zinc would you guys recommend?

Where did you read that? If anything wouldn't it spur growth instead? I highly doubt there's scientific evidence that says zinc STUNTS growth.

Zinc deficiency stunts growth, not zinc intake.
