Hi guys, im writing this on the verge of a serious breakdown, i didnt know acne could utterly destroy someones life as it has mine. Ive always had acne but its what i describe as 'normal' teenage acne, a good few spots here and there from the age of around 13 as well as an oily t zone but at the same time all my friends had the same type of thing so it wasnt as bad. But about a year ago i started getting these horrible little bumps ALL over my forehead in every pore, but i never knew what they were. Id also get nasty spots and some cystic spots too but these closed comedones are far worse to me because the NEVER disappear and i find myself constantly trying to get them out but then it turns into a horrible scab that weeps and lasts for weeks. For years now ive had moderate to severe acne all over the top of my back and ive always been able to cover it up by not wearing low cut tops, even though i felt super self conscious and tried to get rid of it, ive never felt as bad as i do now because no one could see it. However with it being in my face obviously everyone can see it and i feel terrible, ive turned into a recluse, i never go out in daylight, ive lost my job because i didnt turn up for shifts due to feeling discusting, due to no job i have 0 money. My life has been destroyed by this horrible acne and ive been to the doctor only to be told it will take 8 months up to a year to get a dermatologist appointment on the nhs and i simply have no money to go private. Ive tried every treatment there is, apart from accutane (which i hope to get from the dermatologist). No Bha or aha has worked, no salicylic acid or any other acid peel have worked, no duac or other gel/cream prescribed from the doctor has worked. Ive taken 3 different antibiotics for 6+ months each before and they havent worked and also tried proactiv. I cant even cover it with make up because it looks 10x worse. Has anything else worked for anyone with this type of acne? Can anyone help at all please i appreciate any advice, thank you.
