Hello everyone,
So for the past month I have used many different face masks and different face washes and I realized that I have been over exfoliating my skin.
I noticed that my skin is really red and has little bumps. I have a lot on my nose and cheeks and they are small white heads. My skin feels like sandpaper and you can see the bumps in the sunlight. I don't know how to fix this problem and I was wondering if anyone knows what to do. I drink a lot of water and eat healthy but I just want my face to heal and it is stressing me out more that it is not healing. I don't even want to go out in public. I tried putting coconut oil but I feel like I might be breaking out more. Please if anyone can help or even relate to my situation I need some help. I added a picture of how my skin looks and it have never looked like this before. I honestly just cry so much about it.
If it's any consolation, it honestly doesn't look bad at all! Our skin always seems 10x worse in our own eyes. It's probably just a little irritated because you've been switching up your products so much more so than because of over-exfoliating, especially if you normally exfoliate anyway. Just pick a routine and stick to it, your skin should eventually calm down. Only use a face mask 1-2 times a week, and if you are using an exfoliating face wash make sure it's not too harsh. Don't forget to moisturize. As for the coconut oil, I would stray from trying any more new products on your face for now otherwise you won't know what's causing what. Coconut oil can cause some people to break out.
Girl, stop putting coconut oil on your skin!!! On a scale from 1-5, with a 1 rating not likely to clog your pores and a 5 rating highly likely to clog pores, coconut oil rates a 4. Stupid YouTube beauty "gurus" have completely confused so many young girls into thinking coconut oil fixes everything. It doesn't.
PS - I think your skin looks far worse in your head. I would take your skin over mine any day!
