I started the regimen not too long ago and realized it wasn't for me after a few months of treatment. My skin cleared but I did not want to be stuck using BP all my life so I stopped using the product. Unfortunately, image.jpeg I stopped cold turkey instead of weaning off the BP. My skin has gone CRAZY. I am breaking out like never before. It has been 3 weeks since the breakouts started and they aren't getting much better. I now use the clean and clear system that worked "OK" for me for prior years along with AHA at night. Have I ruined my skin forever?

No I really doubt it. You will go back to normal. But if it was working...why stop?

Oh I see...have you tried any natural supplements like zinc, vitamins etc. Green tea and spearmint tea help oily skin.
Also, do you take any meds or birth control?

I started using BP several years ago on DKR. I was one of the lucky few who cleared quickly. 3 months and my skin was perfect, but I kept using BP because I was afraid the acne would come back. About 5 months into the regimen I started breaking out again really bad. So I stopped the DKR regimen thinking it didn't work and tried a bunch of other stuff. Acne never really got any better after that no matter what I tried. So about a year ago I went back on DKR. Again, acne cleared within a few months only to break out again by the 4-5 month mark. This time I've kept at it though. The horrible breakouts stopped around the 7th month mark and my skin is relatively clear now except in the jaw area were I still get spots thanks to PCOS. Your skin doesn't become addicted or immune to BP. BP oxygenates your skin and acne bacteria cannot live in an oxygenated environment. So, if BP worked for you before it will always work.

While it's true that you can never be immune to BP, your skin might bear the brunt of long term use of BP. You'll start to notice by the 2nd or 3rd year that your skin have become aged /thin/dehydrated but oily at the same time. And I have never, never encounter anyone who's had successful experience with BP to be able to stop using it. You say "if it works why stop using it?" well some people don't want to have to dependent on this product for the rest of their lives, it's aging and it's toxic (that's why it's banned in Europe and other countries), and for females, what if they want to get pregnant? BP actually caused your skin to never outgrow acne naturally, some people would hate to have to use this regimen in their forties.
