So I have an epidermoid cyst (at least that's what I think it is, basically a pretty large cyst) near my ear. More than a year ago, I went to get it removed, but the doctor didn't do his job properly and it came back. I didn't really want to go through the same process again, so I just let it be. Throughout the year, it didn't expand in size or anything like that. Until now... Since yesterday, it got bigger, redder and it's actually painful. I also started noticing that since that happened, I broke out a bit more than usual. It might not be connected, it might be just random, I don't really know. I'll be getting the cyst removed in a few days. Hopefully this time, the doctor will actually now what he's doing and it won't come back. But here is where my question comes. Could the cyst near me ear somehow be the cause of my acne? It was just sitting there for an entire year and more and maybe it was making me break out in little pimples? What do you guys think? I don't really know how those things work, I just had this thought and there's no one to tell me if it makes some sense or it's completely impossible.
