5 months ago I had perfect skin and now my face is the complete opposite.
My whole life I've had 99% clear skin with an occasional pimple every now and then. However, just a few months ago my skin has really taken a turn for the worse..
I began to break out terribly on my forehead, mostly all cystic acne. I had no idea what was going on with my skin since I have never had to deal with acne this bad before.
Recently I visited my dermatologist and she prescribed me Acanya cream which I've been using for 1 week now and feel like it's helping heal the cystic acne faster and eliminate some redness. However, the texture of my forehead is still bumpy and there are still tons of tiny red bumps that won't budge.
Some other things I've tried in the past months have been:
-natural face products
-increasing water intake
-cleaning up diet (however diet never affected my skin when it was clear so I feel like this isn't what's causing it)
-vitamin supplements that supposedly help acne (zinc, b complex, A, evening primrose)
I feel like it could be hormone related but my acne isn't really in the typical "hormonal acne" areas. At this point, I hate looking at myself in the mirror and could really use any advice that anyone has! Thank you in advance
More like your acne is an internal problem, as we get older our body starts to change. Inflammation, toxins, leaky gut , Candida etc do some research on it but something that can helps is using herbs to detox also acne on forehead is your body telling you , you r having a hard time digesting foods Etc but that's what's been helping me
2.5% benzoyl peroxide cleanser and overnight cream with 2.5% benzoyl peroxide.
If that doesn't work consider a tretinoin cream and antibiotics from the derm .
If that fails to stop your acne then ask your derm about isotretinoin. Isotretinoin will do the trick if all else fails
