Just wondering if anyone gets facials. If so how often do you do it and do you get significant results vs just exfoliating. I have hyperpigmentation on my face as well as my back. I was going through the acne.org articles and a few of the options I have is peels, and microdermabrasion. I called some local areas that provide services like this and they informed that you can start seeing results after 3 or 4 treatments. Its pretty expensive. I'm just trying to explore my options. The only thing I deal with nowadays is the marks on my face, blackheads on my nose, and the occasional pimple if I don't eat right.

It can be good to get facials, but you can buy peelings to use at home on eBay.
If you are new to peelings you can start with 25% lactic acid, it will help your marks, blackheads etc and you can do them weekly. It is quite easy to learn and there are instruction videos on youtube.

Yes, there is a brand called skin beauty solutions on eBay that is very good, buy 25% lactic acid peel for them.
It can be used on your back too, but it can be difficult to apply it, if someone can help you it is an option. But I would say you should buy an AHA creme for your back. There is one quite good calledalpha skincare revitalizing body lotion, which is a leave-on creme
Where the other 25% peel is something you have on your face for some minutes and after that you use a good moisturizer. It will still work for several days, even though you just have the peel on for some minutes and neutralize with baking soda or water.
But watch instruction videos on youtube, it can be a bit difficult to explain.

Actually because you are new i think you should buy an AHA creme to your face instead of the 25% lactic acid from eBay.
Your skin needs to get used to renewing itself before you can do treatments. So buy that first.

As a first time user it is better using 25% than 40% so you don't get any chemical burns. After you have used the 25% up you can buy 40%.
You can do them weekly, but remember always to moisturize after. For your body you can use pure jojoba oil after the treatment, it will not clogg the pores.
