Hi there, Im quite young and have fortunately never had really bad skin. I started getting a few pimples here and there this year and started to get a bit uncomfortable about it. Ive been put on zincaplex tablets and cetaphil facewash and it is helping slightly.

The thing is, Ive always battled with blackheads on my nose and chin and between my eyebrow area. I recently started getting small yellow pimples on my chin etc. and thought they were milia. I got home today and made the mistake (as I have now realized by researching on the internet) of squeezing out my blackheads and in the act found that a yellow substance was coming out of the little milia (as I thought) pimples. Sorry for the winded explaination, but my main questions are, do you think that by me squeezing my blackheads only about once will affect my skin in the long term and cause it to breakout in the short term and does anyone have and idea of what pimples are on my skin (the milia ones) and how I can fix them ? Thanks so much xx

Don't worry about it. Firstly, you are young so your skin can handle it. Secondly, there isn't really anything wrong with purging as long as you aren't breaking the skin. If you feel that that is the best solution for you, you should read about how to do it properly or get a facial and someone will do it for you. Also, be aware that we all have pores that may appear somewhat grey in the center and if you purge this then it will come back again tomorrow so it is rather pointless. If what you are refering to is inflamed or definitely black at the tips and extracts as you described, then purging is okay if you are gentle but washing and toning and using an AHA/BHA product or other medicated topical lotion will be very helpful to rid of them and prevent them too.
