Few questions about whiteheads

Hey
So my biggest problem area is my nose, and do everything right in terms of a great diet, washing, treatment etc etc - however I still wake up with whiteheads all over my nose.
So my questions are :

1) Why is the nose such a problem area?
2) They say you should leave spots alone and not pop them, but surely there's a 'safe' way to get rid of the whiteheads - because I've never seen anyone with whiteheads in a public place so they must do something about it!

Thanks

As you probably know, the over production of oil by our sebaceous glands are one of the main factors that cause acne. If we did not have oil glands, we would not have acne (look at the palm of your hand, does it ever get a pimple?). The nose and lower portion of the forehead are what people refer to as the "T Zone". It tends to be the most oily part of the face for most people, and as I just stated, more oil = higher risk of acne.

I believe the safest way to pop a whitehead would be to lance it with a needle which you have disinfected, and then push the contents out with 2 cotton swabs or your fingers wrapped with tissue paper.

Thanks all!
So it's nothing to do with sweating, because I'm a very sweaty person - very lean and fit, but still sweat alot?! Sucks right.
