Blackhead around lips

So I've occasionally gotten blackheads around my lips (I think I know they are blackheads because they come out semi hard and string like, never had a super long one like you might see in YouTube videos). My question is, are there easy ways to get them out? The ones I get seem to be pretty attached and require some real squeezing to get out. This usually causes that area of skin to be inflamed and appear like herpes. As you can tell this is not ideal, once someone thinks you have herpes, whether you have it or not you're branded. Only way I try to get them out is by taking two fingernails on the sides of the blackhead and squeezing together and inward. Are there tools or something I can use to remove these so I don't get super irritated skin from squeezing?

There is a tool calledcomedone extractor you can use.

But before using that, try doing a lactic acid peel 25% on the blackheads so they come up to the surface of the skin. You can buy the peel on ebay.
