Benzoyl peroxide will only kill your pimples and blackheads, it will not work at scars at all because it only kill bacterias.

What you need is an AHA creme (for instance the one from acne.org) you can combine the benzoyl peroxide gel/creme with the AHA creme, but you need a good moisturizer as well because both a very active products.

Evening:
1) cleanse your face
2) apply benzoyl peroxide
3) apply AHA creme (to exfoliate and remove svars - it will unclog your pores too)

Remember sunscreen and moisturizer too.
