So i'm healing from probrably the worst breakout i ever had since going off Accutane (6 years ago) and this pimple was the first to show up. I usually don't pop my pimples but my skin was doing pretty good and i was so happy about it that when i saw the pimple my immediate reaction was trying to pop it (because i thought i would go away faster and my skin would look decent again... little did i know that this pimple was just the tip of the iceberg). So i tried to pop it and it obviously only made it worse, next day a SUPER red scab formed and the bump underneath became a lot larger than it was in the first place. Now, a month and a half later there's hyperpigmentation, which i'm not suprised about (i know i fucked up ) but the bump is still there, not as big as it was but i never had a bump last for so long. This is not the first time i tried to pop a pimple that was not ready to be popped and the bump usually goes away in 2 week. I went to dermatologist and she told me to wait and be patient. Has this happened to anyone? How long did it take to become completely flat again?
Where is your bump? I have one right now on the side of my nose. I've had mine since the end of December 2015. I went to the dermatologist on Jan. 20th and he gave me a cortisone shot (He said it was a cyst). The bump went down 50% but came back 10 days later. It then developed a white head, and of course i did what i wasn't supposed to do and POPPED IT. It got swollen again! I've left it alone and now just yesterday I have noticed that its trying to develop another white head again. I hate it and want it gone too, or at least flattened.
