Im just here to say that ive had acne since 5th grade, which was really mild then maybe one or two. At 6th grade it was at the point where it was covering my entire forehead and there were a ton of black spots there. By 7th grade it was covering my inner cheeks area as well. By 7th grade summer i ERUPTED in cytsic acne all over my face with a s*** ton of scars and no normal skin. I was put on minocycline by doc after refusing to take accutane. The first month was when it got a little worse. The next month my cystic acne disappeared. The last month of my 100 mg dosage, all my acne on my face was clear excpet for persistent marks. After 4 months, all my marks have faded and my skin was like brand new. I was on elta md am and pm moisterizer with epiduo everynight and used a gentel facial cleanser. I WAS ACNE AND MARKS FREE FOR 2 WHOLE YEARS!!!!(except for one small occasional pimple) now im 16 and ny acne is coming back. My forhead and cheeks are clean, but my jawline is badly broken out and my temples have cysts. My face keeps getting worse everyday and i cant resist the urge to pop. My life was wonderful the two years now relationships and everything are falling apart. I try to look past it but it seems impossible. im going back to the derm to go on another dose. Do u guys think thats a good idea.

I think going back to the derma is a good idea

The younger you are on your accutane course, the more likely you are to relapse. So now you are older, it may work better. Also, with every consecutive course, people tend to stay clearer longer and have less chance of relaspe. This is what studies have shown, a few are talked about in the accutane section of this website. I'm pretty sure you will have luck again with accutane, and with that information shared hopefully you will stay clear longer as well!
