Hello!
I'm a 22 year old guy that have struggled with mild to moderate acne pretty much all my life since I was a teen. This have led to a face full of ever so slowly fading red marks and scars, especially on my forehead.
Anyway, I've successfully treated my acne with a daily routine of cleanser/benzoyl peroxide/moisturizer morning and night for about 1.5 years now. And later with only applying bp at night. The thing is, even though i'm clear of pimples my skin still looks terrible because of all the red marks that acne have left me with over the years. And the bp/moisturizer still makes my face really oily and makes my red marks appear much red more than they need to.
I recently slowed down on using cleansers, moisturizers and bp untill about two weeks ago when i started washing with only water morning/night.
First week was wonderful, no new blemishes or pimples at all and my skin had a glow like never before, face was much less oily aswell since i didnt use any moisturizers.
Week 2 now and I've started to break out with several new small pimples that seems to multiply by the day, mainly on my forehead and around the mouth area. Not sure if I will or should continue much longer. I don't wanna get any more new red marks that will take years to fade..
But my skin looks so much better and alive without all the chemicals on it..
Have any on you guys treated acne succesfully with this water only method? Did you also break out before it got better again? I've read the review section and it seems to work for quite alot of people.
I'm just so tired of spending time and money on all these chemicals that makes my face looks so dull, not to mention washing away all of its natural oils, but if that is what it takes to keep the acne away I guess i have no choice.
I'm right there with you. I'm on two weeks of only washing with water at night. First 5 days was amazing I'm on about 2 weeks and questioning it myself breaking out in the same areas mouth and forehead. I do notice the pimples don't stay as long though and heal rather quickly. Skin is less oily and less red.

Seems like we have the exact same thing happening.
Yeah I ordered some new bp today so that I'm ready if/when I go back to my "normal" routine. Will probably give it another week or two and see what happens.
I really thought i had grown out of my acne by now, it sucks the life out of one.

I just read a blog post from someone that is going through the same thing. I guess it is said a major break out usually is expected in the first 1-3 weeks! Maybe keep with it? I'm going to wait at least another week and see if it gets better. Hope it gets better with you too 🙂
Week 3 now andI actually haven't had any new major breakouts since the first one week 2.. Skin looks okaish.
I did however start to spot treat with some bp around my mouthsince that's were Igot the most pimples, they are very persistent and have been coming back in the same spot 2 times now. Had a few meetings and stuff to attend to and Ijust couldn't go out looking like that. 🙂
