Acne With Eczema?

So as you may have seen from earlier posts, I attempted the caveman regimen after coming off of benzoyl peroxide as a way of detoxing the damage that the chemical caused to my skin. My skin was very very very oily as a result of using BP, so I thought I'd give the caveman regimen a try as I'd heard of it helping oily skin.

So that was nearly 3 months ago. About 2 months in, I discovered the oiliness had subsided but now completely. Although my skin had almost completely cleared of acne itself, my skin was too dry, and it was flaking like hell so I tried many different ways of exfoliating it over the weeks. None of these worked, in fact may have made the condition worse. Anyway, I saw a doctor about it as the moisturiser I used wasn't making a difference, and if I applied moisturiser anyway my skin would be oily again by the end of the day (its one extreme or the other!!!!), and my skin felt very tight and uncomfortable and was flaking terribly by this point, and was often itchy and red especially around the mouth area that gets stretched. The doctor gave me diprobase cream, which I tried last night but I feel like it made the condition worse just overnight. There are now scaly patches and it's drier than before, not to mention the terrible breakout it's caused. I feel the cream itself may have caused eczema which I didn't have in the first place even though the point of the cream is to help cases like eczema. I've just applied E45 cream despite the negative comments I've seen about it and acne, but I just don't know what else to do!!!

Anyway I'm stuck on what to do, because if I try to get rid of the eczema, I'm afraid my acne will flare up again, but if I leave it to let the acne go away, the eczema gets progressively worse and it's embarrassing. Any suggestions???

P.S. Yes I do still recommend giving the caveman regimen a try, just as long as you know you wouldn't be prone to skin conditions like eczema :/

I had chronic eczema ever since i was a toddler haha

AND i've been doing the water-only washing method for about 4 years now and my skin is literally getting better every day.

I also had a problem with extremely uncomfortable, dry, flaky skin for about a month or two when i was first starting out, and i found that moisturizers just built up on top of my skin and caused soo many breakouts (it didn't really do anything for the dry skin either)

What i did to clear this problem-- i just used my finger tips and lukewarm water to gently exfoliate the dead skin cells off (did this twice a day, then gradually once a day at night)

I don't have dry, flaky skin anymore :) its supple and soft, just like how skin should be.

hope this helps

(side note: try not to worry about your skin too much, i found that whenever i stressed about it too much my skin would just "get worse")
