Hi guys so I'm exactly a week into my accutane treatment. The derm put me on 40mg twice a day for four months. So far my lips are getting dry and my skin is also starting to as well. I'm still getting some breakouts and acne and I'm expecting a purging pretty soon. It might happen, it might not but just incase I was wondering is it ok to spot treat with 10% benzoyl peroxide or 2%aalcylic acid spot treatments while on accutane. I just want to speed up the process a little bit and get rid of some pimples quicker. I don't see how any harm would be done but maybe I'm missing something. Let me know please thanks.

I see you've made the choice to have a go at Accutane after your earlier discussion in the forum. It made a big difference for me and I hope you have really good results too! I can't see a problem with you trying some spot treatments also in tandem but the Accutane can make peoples skin more sensitive and prone to redness so just be aware of the possibility of the spot treatments being a little more irritating than you may have previously found.
