Hello,

I've used BP for a while and something new just happened, I'm red as I could be, it looks like I have a massive sunburn

My story with BP: I used epiduo and my skin got VERY red, and dry and ugly, so I had to stop after two months. Then I used Clindoxyl (Clindamycin 1%, Benzoyl peroxide 5%) and it worked like a charm! My skin was gorgeous, I barely got cysts and had no small pimples!

Then my Clindoxyl expired, when I still had like half of the product, I didn't notice so I kept using it (I know, awful mistake), after a few months, my skin got VERY red and itchy, I had to stop using the product for real. Then I didn't use any BP products for about 4 months.

Now, my acne is almost fine, but for two cysts and some tiny pimples, I got a Benzoyl Peroxide gel (3%) and put it on overnight, all my small pimples are gone (yes, that fast) and my cysts are significantly smaller than yesterday

but I AM SO RED I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO

it looks like I sunburned, I feel a bit itchy, and my skin is super dry... I've used BP before without getting this reaction, what is going on? am I allergic?

I'm attaching a picture, here, because of the lightening, looks a bit pink and mild, but it is more red in real life, I couldn't get a perfect photo, sorry :(

So you're saying that BP is making your skin itchy, dry, and red just like tons of other people? What do you want me to tell you? Keep using a product that your skin is obviously to sensitive for (sarcasm). Stop using it. There are some great posts on here that talk about the water only regimen and it has worked wonders for me along with many others.
