(adult acne)
hi guys,
ive had a bad week, skin has reverted back to the old days, a red mess. probably my fault as for the past 1/2 weeks ive started taking a multivitamin (along with zinc/vit c) which is apparently from what members here say is a big no no (multivitamins = acne) - i guess ived got wait a week till the damage is undone.
..anyway ive decided to go SLS free.
the past 2 days ive been using a SLS free toothpaste and an organic soap made by "little soap company". i just wanted to check if the soap ingredients are ok for acne prone/sensitive skin.
little soap company - unperfumed soap for sensitive skin.
free from: detergents, SLS, alcohol, parabens, sorbates, silicones, sulphates, preservatives.
ingredients: organic palm oil (sodium palmate), organic coconut oil (sodium cocoate), water (aqua) english organic oats (avena sativa), salt (sodium chloride), citric acid ( sodium citrate)
thanks
Some people believe that coconut oils (and all oils for that matter) are a double edged sword; they can work for some, but for others clog their pores. Just be mindful of this... if things get worse stop using the soap, if things get better continue use. The ingredients in this soap seem "safe" ... all you can do is try and hope for the best! I myself would never use a soap bar on my face, generally the ingredients are more concentrated (aka more irritating) for sensitive skin like mine, but again it could work for you.
Best of luck!
thanks for replying. what do you use to wash your face?
I use Eminence Organic Skin Care (I could rave for days about their products) http://www.eminenstore.com/ I use the Stone Crop Gel Wash and love it. It's perfect for sensitive and acne prone skin... it's extremely hydrating and helps balance your skins pH. Stone Crop is 10x more hydrating then aloe vera! It's important to keep your skin hydrated to prevent acne (more dry skin equals more sebum created by your body, which will turn into more acne). if you take a look at my signature below, you'll see all the products I used from eminence. It's pricier stuff but I swear by it and live by it!
All the best,
