Hopefully this is my last post on this forum. Schools starting up in a little less then a month and I can't hide from people once that starts lol. I tried products with salcylic acid and benzoyl peroxide for about the last month with mixed results. It would clear my face completley for about a week and then break me out the next. I have to mention these breakouts Wernt as bad and not as inflamed. My acne is mostly mild with the occasional inflamed pimple but has been getting worse over the last 6 months so I want to get rid of it because I feel that it will only get worse. Almost 90% of my acne is on my forehead. I've never gotten a pimple on my cheek in my life. Every occasion or so I get a small breakout along the jaw/ chin. My nose has the occasional pimple and has a ton of black and white heads. I think I got to the point of going to the derm. Everyone says the derm isn't helpful most of the time and I want to know why? I expect to get a clindamycin/benzoyl prescription. All I want to know is this worth my time and does this work better than just regular benzoyl? I've been using neutrogenas acne kit. Maybe it's that? I read however that almost all 2.5% benzoyl works the same and that inactive ingridients on mine don't show any pore clogging ingridients so I feel that I need a doctors help. Do you guys think this is worth my time/ money and a good investment? Anyone's expiriences with benzoyl/clin or retin a or any other topical perscription please let me know if it helped you and if it Caused any side effects/ initial breakouts. Thank you guys so much this site is amazing!
As mentioned previously, the regime offers very specific steps on treating acne, its not just products they provide. If you follow the steps precisely, over time you more than likely get results. As also mentioned you can use products for your local pharmacy, not just the ones on the site. Also once you decide on a treatment, make sure you stick it out up to 8 weeks, otherwise you will have a bathroom cupboard full of products and you will be frustrated and probably made less ground with your skin.
All the best.
