I started using Benzoyl peroxide about 4 weeks ago and I'm thrilled with the results. My skins looking very clear. I've always had somewhat oily skin and I feel like now without acne it just stands out more when I look at myself. I don't have any problems with oily skin it's not very bad but I was just wondering that even if I was using benzoyl could I still get acne from clogged pores due to oil? I know acne forms because of bacteria and oil clogging the pores but if all the bacteria is dead from the benzoyl should I still expect to get acne from oil? If so what kind of acne? Anything will help thanks

Hi! Oily skin is not inherently a bad thing (other than for purely cosmetic reasons, for personal preferences). In fact - the oil is very protective and naturally moisturizing. Continue to wash your face morning and night to get rid of the dead skin and dirt that can stick to the oils, and you should be fine. If it becomes a problem for you though, oil blotting papers can help.

if i had oily skin but no acne i don't think it would bother me. its great that BP has helped your acne a lot! in my experience, the oilier my skin is, the bigger , and more painful and cystic my acne can be . less oil = smaller pimples
