I've had this huge zit on face for about 3 days now. It doesn't look like it's reducing and I was wondering if there was any way for me help it go away.

Here's a picture.

If mine show absolutely no signs of movement after a few days I bring out a needle and go to town on them.

Definitely don't pierce it with a needle as that can spread the bacteria as well as cause an infection. Ice it twice a day and let it be.

Have you tried icing it? I hear that works well for this type of pimple.

Btw, don't pierce it. It'll bleed and won't be a good thing in any way.

I would neither ice that nor pop it. Instead, try applying a hot compress for about 5 minutes once an hour for a full day. This should bring the infection to the surface and encourage it to drain naturally. Alternatively, if you have access to a derm, that might be a good candidate for a cortisone shot to reduce inflammation and the chance of scarring. Either way, large nodular-cystic blemishes like those are at a very high risk for scarring. You will want to treat it with kid gloves, no poking or prodding.

Ok. It's been 3 days and I iced once. It definitely looks like it will scar, but it's not red and raised anymore. Are there any ways I can expedite the healing process and get rid of the scar? I'm also Indian, so hyperpigmentation for my skin is a likelihood.
