How Do I Prevent Whiteheads?

Hey guys! So I've been browsing acne.org for a pretty long time an I finally made an account because I really wanted some advice. So my acne isn't terrible, but I have a lot of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and A LOT of white heads or closed comedones. The scars I can deal with for now because I can cover it with makeup but the closed comedones are driving me crazy. I can't put makeup over it and in the sun it looks terrible. Whenever I touch my face it's like running my hands over sandpaper.

 

Can any of you recommend any products/home remedies that have helped you prevent whiteheads and also get rid of the closed comedones?

It doesn't work for everyone(but then again nothing does) but I am using a retinoid(Differin)at the minute for this exact kind of acne and after 4 weeks I am starting to see improvement!

I have also cut out dairy, only drink and water and found a skincare routine that suits me.
