Hey Guys!

Here's a topic some of you I know are certainly experts at! I want to know how you narrow down the information and find particular solutions to your specific acne "case"?

I'm sure there's a good methodology to this, but I've always found myself aimlessly searching on forums, google searches, wikipedia, and medscape without ending up on any new insights or findings. I already know a good deal about acne and its variants - but I definitely know there's more to find out!

Being an engineering major I'm quite disappointed I couldn't come up with this by now ;) Maybe you guys can! Any tips or your own suggestions will earn you a HUGE thanks from me!

I used to frequently get painful pimples inside of my nose. Researching potential causes, I found that Staphylococcus aureus is a cause of nasal pimples http://www.healthline.com/health/pimple-inside-nose#Diagnosis4 and is commonly found in our nose, ears, and skin http://www.merckmanuals.com/home/infections/bacterial-infections/i-staphylococcus-aureus-i-infections

I followed this publication http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23377521 to eradicate my nasal Staph with triple antibiotic ointment. I was able to eliminate that bacteria, and that cured me of my nasal pimples and cystic acne

I have since found that a number of people have Staph in their nostrils or ears that causes their recurring folliculitis on their face and body https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folliculitis#Causes It turns out that the nose and ears can act as primary reservoirs of the acne-causing bacteria Staphylococcus aureus.
