Help Me Identify These Spots On My Face

Hi,

For the past 5+ years I've started getting these bumps on my face that don't quite seem like pimples and you can't squeeze them like a traditional zit. They almost seem like some kind of outgrowth. Curious if anyone knows what these are called and also if there's a way to remove and/or prevent them from appearing. I'm suspicious if any of my facial regimes are responsible for them or not.

Hoping the pics attached can show you the bumps I'm referring to.

Thanks.

I'm not sure as to what they can be, sorry, but have you seen a derm about it or a doctor?

Also, what products are you currently using?

I did go see a skin specialist a couple of years back and he told me what they were but for the life of me I couldn't recall what their name is. He said that he could treat them with some kind of service he offers but that they might leave a mark afterwards.

As for what I'm using now, I've been on Proactiv for years (the original version). I've tried Neutrogena for men as well as the regime from this site but I found that I still ended up breaking out. I don't have a lot of acne. Maybe one or two active ones and some weeks none but you can tell I had one at one point. My nose seems to get them more often than the rest of my face. I figured that at my age of 43 I would have clearer skin now and only have to worry about wrinkles in 10 years time. :) I still look rather young at least that's what people tell me.

They appear to be serbacious hyperplasia! They have to be removed professionally!

I have tried all treatments and the only thing that worked for me was to have the dermatologist remove via a needle that inserts meds that completely drys the sebrum including the calcification! It is painless! It does take a couple of weeks for all the spots to go away!!! But well worth the investment! [removed] has a utube on this method of removal! Plus, they can help you locate a professional in your area! If this IS what you have it does work!!! Good luck! Wish someone could help me with my acne?!! Really weird!

Thanks everyone! You're all correct that it's sebaceous hyperplasia as most pics online look similar to what I have. I'll look into seeing a dermatologist and what they recommend.

Thank you!
