Hey guys,

I hope you can help me because well i cant. I got acne at the age of 13. Since then i tried a lot like most of us. When i was 15 the acne got really bad and i went to the doctor. He gave me a mix called Epiduo (BPO 2,5% in combination with adapalen 0,1) and an Asche basis creme ( moisturizer). He told me i should apply BPO at the evening and the next morning i should apply the Asche basis creme. The acne got away really quickly, but the problem was i looked like a tomato. The people at my school where joking about me. My skin is very sensitiv and the Moisturizer seemed not to do his work. How can i fix it that my skin doesnt look that red?

Hopefully you could understand cause im European :D

thanks!

I actually struggled with something much the same. I had to discontinue using BP products all over my face, In-fact now I'm unfortunately very sensitive to moisturizers as-well. I had to just start using a cleanser that I found worked well for me, and not put any products on my face until the redness subsided.. it took a little while, but it did! I do still struggle with extreme sensitivity on my face though, I cannot use any harsh products at all.

I hope you find something that works! (:

Hmm..

I wish I could help D:

The only thing that comes to mind at the moment is "are you using sunscreen?". Epidou kinda makes your skin "raw" and very sensitive and vulnerable. And the BP will definitely increase sensitivity to your skin when under sunlight.

But if your skin is so sensitive to the point where sunscreen even irritates it, then I wish you the best of luck :(

If you're able to... washing your skin with lukewarm (too hot will only cause more redness) only water is probably a good idea - IF you don't breakout from this method. Sometimes just cleaning with water won't give you a deep clean, but if you're about to wash with only water and not breakout I suggest you do that :))

First thank you guys for the quick replies! :)

Maybe i forgot something to say: I do a lot of sports, there was a time i trained 9 times a week and the sweat ob my face always burned. Maybe this even makes the Irritationstronger?

Sweat can definitely be an irritation to sensitive skin.

Um... I can't really help you with a "sweat" topic though, because I rarely sweat (It's just something my face doesn't produce until it's like I'm in the Sahara desert, I'll sweat then) but my face will get extremely oily.

But sweat is the release of toxins and clogged pores.. and I think it's contains salt...? Tears contain salt, but I'm not sure about sweat. And as well know, sweat can definitely burn, cause you know when you insult someone its like "Did I just put salt in your wounds?"

BUT YA... I feel bad ;--; I'm trying to help but I'm probably clueless with all my typing LOL.

I'll still respond, but I'll try my best to give you knowledge on what I have. :)

Sweat will definitely irritate your skin, especially if you have products on your face while you're sweating. I seriously recommend just getting a gentle cleanser and just using that twice a day with lukewarm water on your skin until the redness clears up~ I actually found just being gentle with my skin and only using a cleanser helped my acne quite a bit in general, didn't really need all those harsh products! ;p

Haha thanks man:)!

Well maybe i should reply moisturizer 2 times, when i aplied the BPO and its dry & in the morning?

Maybe this will help the skin to repair the dryness and irritation?

Ya, you could do that.

Just make sure your moisturizer doesn't have anyyyy irritating ingredients, try to get all natural, possibly organic, ingredients.

I can't really recommend any moisturizers right now because all the ones I've used are pretty shitty (sorry for the language).

And my skin isn't tooo sensitive so I will sometimes use a moisturizer that contains 0.5% Salicyclic Acid (Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer) but ever since I stopped used it, my skin has been somewhat better.

SO YA, bottom line - I like your idea, moisturize. Just make sure it's gentle and non-irritant.
